THE MYSTERY "Las Bolas"

Sfere in pietra perfette, tutte di dimensioni diverse which can weigh up to 16 tonnes with a diameter of two meters, recovered from 1930 in the Delta region Diquis, Costa Rica in the opening sequence made famous by the movie "Raiders of the Lost Ark" in which appear, "las bolas" are a real mystery to scholars for years trying to understand their origin. The oldest may date back to 600 AD C. and among the disparate theories there are those associated with the disappearance of Atlantis. Now the Unesco World Heritage Site and would like them to become the American anthropologist John Hoopes of the University of Kansas, was assigned to the study of their conservation and their value. "We do not know why they were costruite - spiega Hoopes - chi le fece non lasciĆ² nessun documento scritto. Abbiamo solo dati archeologi che permettono di ricostruire il contesto, la cultura e le persone che le crearono si estinsero poco dopo la conquista spagnola"
